the day started with heavy rain, and it looked like it would put a wet blanket on proceedings, but the sun came through and so it our teams.
evangel A gave a good account of themselves by finishing clinically against New Life A, with the score ending in a well deserved 4-0 victory to team evangel.
as evangel A played, evangel B was warming up and tactical decisions were being made. but just as the team was looking to single out the potentially dangerous players among our opponents' ranks, it was made known to the players that Cherith B had failed to show up. it was thus a walkover victory for evangel B, paving the way for history to be made.
the dream final had been achieved. the match was played in a competitive yet fair spirit and the boys put in their best efforts, with the score ending 1-0 in the Evangel B's favour.
the teams and team managers thank all who came down to cheer on the boys!

hi everyone, here're the details for Saturday's baptist cup schedule:
12.15pm: supporters to meet Huiliang at Boonkeng MRT (Purple Line)
12.30pm: supporters will leave for St Wilfrid's Field
there is a sharing by Brian Ravi, the event organiser and a former football player himself, at 12.50pm. this will be followed up by the kickoff of BOTH of evangel's games which will take place simultaneously:
1pm Kickoff:
Evangel Baptist Church A vs. New Life Baptist Church A
Evangel Baptist Church B vs. Cherith Baptist Church B
the event should end by 3pm, latest. looking forward to seeing you there!
